Get it right, and you'll walk out a success. The challenge inside, named the Shields From Water trial, is a puzzle that has you use the Cryonis ability to navigate water and tackle Guardian Scouts as you go. Standing on an ice platform you’ll need to create another one below the gate to push it up, then jump to the side of the ice block and climb around to the other side to reach the chest and claim the Knight’s Broadsword.Kaya Wan is one of the many Shrines located throughout Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Note: Once you clear the Guardian Scouts, slowly make your way forward and look for a gate on the left with a chest behind it. If you get struck and fall into the water, you’ll likely be unable to get back up and sent off a waterfall to your doom. If you need cover, be sure to climb down behind an ice block, or ready your shield. If you’re quick, you can jump to an ice block and quickly take them out with a powerful bow or enhanced arrow. This will be a bit tougher as you won’t be able to easily snipe them without them firing back. In order to open it, build an ice bridge up to the chest, and then summon a platform underneath the chest so you can then jump to it and open the chest for an Ancient Core.Īt the next section, you’ll be presented with a long hall with rushing water, and two Guardian Scouts on platforms down the hall. Note: Off to the right of the platform you can see a floating chest in the water.

Since it’s unwise to slowly create a bridge to fight him when he’s shooting beams at you - snipe him in the eye with an arrow to knock him into the water which will destroy him, and then create a bridge to his platform. In the next section, a Guardian Scout awaits you on a platform surrounded by water. Once at the waterfall, place a rune directly on the waterfall to have a block of ice jut out the side creating a platform you can use to climb up to the top. In order to cross and climb the waterfall, you’ll need to make use of the Cryonis Rune to build a bridge of ice stones to cross to the waterfall. The Kaya Wan Shrine is flooded with water, and you’ll spy a waterfall directly in front of you.
